Reddies Roll To 76-7 Win Over Southern Nazarene

Henderson State scored early and often as the No. 11 Reddies rolled to a 76-7 victory over Southern Nazarene, Saturday at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium.

The Reddies, 8-1 on the season, scored on all 11 offensive possessions including eight possessions in the first half in route to a 63-0 lead.

Ryan McDonald rushed for scores of 5, 2 and 2 yards in the opening half, while both Andrew Black and Calen Peters scored on 7-yard runs in the first 30 minutes.

Henderson's other score in the first half was provided by the defense as Camron Sonnier picked off a Jacob Spady pass and returned it 37 yards to pay dirt.

Henderson went deep into the bench in the second half as the Reddies would play four quarterbacks in the game.

Black came in for Hardison and completed 11-of-18 passes for 96 yards including a 7-yard touchdown pass to Ben Johnson who recorded his first career touchdown.

Black also led the Reddie ground game carrying the ball six times for 73 yards.
