In a high scoring affair, the Henderson State women's basketball team fell to Lincoln University 94-86 on Saturday afternoon in Bolivar, Mo.
HSU(0-2) connected on 34-of-67 attempts from the field for 51 percent, while limiting Lincoln to 32-of-76 for 42 percent.
Five Reddies posted double-figure scoring in the contest and were led by
Haleigh Henson who scored 21 points.
The sophomore from Greenwood, Ark. connected on 6-of-19 field goal attempts including 3-of-10 from three and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.
Dulincia Keener pitched in 16 points and six boards, while
Megan Hartness scored 12.
Other Reddies scoring in double figures were
Brittany Branum(11) and
Victoria Stewart(10.)
Henderson State gave up 22 points off of turnovers while only scoring 15, and were out-rebounded 44-to-36 in the contest.
The Reddies scored an onslaught of points in the third quarter putting up 29 to just 16 for Lincoln, but were outscored 28-to-18 in the final quarter of play.
HSU returns to action on Thursday, travelling to Bethany, Okla. for a Great American Conference matchup at Southern Nazarene, with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
