Henderson State opened the Rockhurst Tournament losing to Mckendree and Christian Brothers in straight sets in Kansas City, Mo. on Friday.
In the opening match of the day, Henderson State fell in straight sets to McKendree losing 25-18, 25-11 and 25-22.
Gabby Ginapp totaled nine kills to lead the Reddies with
Brea May having 16 set assists.
The Reddies were limited to a .035 attack percentage, while the Bearcats hit .296.
Against Christian Brothers, the Reddies had a strong performance but fell short 27-25, 25-21 and 25-21.
Jessie Jacoby was top hitter for the Reddies having 16 spikes in the match with
Kaylie Pyles following with 7.
Jacoby also had four service aces while May totaled 31 assists.
Henderson had an improved attack percentage from the previous match hitting .118 while Christian Brothers hit .200.
Henderson State will wrap up the tournament with a pair of matches on Saturday against Rockhurst and Winona State.
