On day two of the Rockhurst Volleyball Classic, the Henderson State volleyball team fell in a pair of matches against #17 Rockhurst and Winona State Saturday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo.

Against Rockhurst, the Reddies(1-8) lost in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-9, and 25-8.

Julianna Adams was the top hitter for HSU with eight kills, while Jessie Jacoby recorded seven.

Brea May contributed 17 set assists to lead the Reddies, and Violet Williams finished the match with five kills and a .125 hitting percentage.

HSU was limited to a .019 hitting percentage, while Rockhurst hit at .467.

Katie Loescher and Morgan Rietzke led the way for Rockhurst with 12 kills each.

In game two, HSU would fall in three sets to Winona State by scores of 25-13, 25-22, and 25-15.

Jacoby racked up nine kills to pace the Reddies, while also hitting at .083 percent.

Ryleigh Thompson was the top setter for HSU with 11 set assists, while May also pitched in eight.

Taylor Goar led Winona with 13 kills and a .407 hitting percentage.

The Reddies will return to action on Tuesday, as they travel to Harding for a Great American Conference matchup with first serve set for 6 p.m. in Searcy.
