Henderson State continued its demanding schedule on Saturday as the Reddies lost a pair of matches to Northwest Missouri State and Nebraska-Kearney at the MIAA/GAC Challenge in St. Joseph, Mo.
The Reddies opened the day losing in straight sets to Northwest Missouri 25-16, 25-9 and 25-16.
Henderson compiled a .025 attack percentage with
Jessie Jacoby leading the team with seven kills.
Brea May totaled 14 set assists, while
Julianna Adams and
Sydney Skelton had 7 defensive digs each.
The Reddies faced its fifth nationally ranked opponent of the season in the final match of the weekend as No. 15 Nebraska-Kearney beat Henderson State 25-9, 25-9, and 25-18.
Violet Williams turned in a .261 hitting percentage having a team high nine spikes.
May had 17 of Henderson's 19 set assists, while Adams compiled 9 defensive digs.
UNK had a stout .411 team hitting percentage as the team had 37 kills and committed just 7 attack errors in the match.
Henderson State returns to Great American Conference action on Tuesday when the Reddies travel to Monticello, Ark. to take on Arkansas-Monticello with the first serve set for 6 p.m.
