Henderson State fell to 7-9 overall and 6-4 in the Great American Conference as No. 20 Arkansas Tech beat the Reddies 87-64, Thursday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Golden Suns, 12-2 overall and 10-0 in the GAC, shot 42 percent from the field and converted on 17-of-21 free throws in the game.

Arkansas Tech would jump out to an 18-8 lead late in the first quarter with the help of four 3-point field goals. The Golden Suns would end the period with a 21-13 lead as Fatima Adams would score 8 points in the quarter.

Henderson would heat up in the second quarter as
Haleigh Henson hit three long range jumpers to pace the Reddies.

Every time the Reddies would draw close, Adams and Anissa Pounds would push ATU's lead back to double-digits as the Golden Suns would build a 46-34 lead at the break.
