Henderson State returns to the court on Saturday as the Reddies play host to Dallas Christian College with the opening tip set for 2 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.

Saturday's game marks Henderson's annual "Angel Tree" game which benefits needy children in the Arkadelphia community during the Christmas holidays as part of an HSU Athletics toy drive.

Fans are encouraged to bring small toys as donations for the event where the members of the Arkadelphia Junior Auxiliary will be recognized at halftime for their efforts in the project.

The Reddies, 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the GAC, are coming off an 85-76 win last Saturday over Southeastern Oklahoma.

Henderson ranks third in the GAC in scoring offense averaging 80.7 points per game, while allowing opponents 71.7 points per contest.

Kaylon Tappin leads Henderson averaging 15.1 points. The junior from Little Rock scored 24 points last time out against the Storm.

Chris Hawkins is scoring 13.7 points while leading the team in rebounding averaging 6.7 boards per contest. The graduate student from Chicago, Ill. averaged 23.5 points and 10 rebounds in the last two games. Hawkins was true on 70 percent of his shots from the field making 14-of-20 attempts.

The Crusaders average 67.5 points per game while allowing 102.2 points per contest.

Top players for DCC include Josh Walls who scored 22 points against Rogers State and Keldon Williams who totaled 19 points against Rogers State and 15 against Southeastern Oklahoma.

Another player to watch is Troy Lindsey led the team in scoring against Arkansas-Monticello scoring 18 points against the Weevils.
