ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State's men's basketball program had four players earn 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition, as announced on Tuesday.
Sophomore forward Grey Garrison of Bellingham, Washington, junior guard KJ Sykes of Jackson, Mississippi, sophomore guard Jameel Wesley II of Maumelle, Arkansas, and junior forward Jabari West of Hot Springs, Arkansas were all honored with Academic All-District Selections
Garrison played in all 29 games for the Reddies this season, averaging 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Sykes played in all 29 games while starting in 23 contests in his first season in Arkadelphia. He averaged 10.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while leading the team with 70 assists. Wesley II also played in all 29 games this season, averaging 8.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. West, in his first season with the red and gray, played in 27 games, starting in 16, while averaging 7 points and 25.1 rebounds.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher, and have competed in 90% of the institution's games played or have started in at least 66% of the games in a single season.
