Henderson State went up against two of the best teams in the Central Region as the Reddies lost 4-0 to Central Oklahoma followed by dropping a 2-0 decision to Pittsburg State at the Southeastern Oklahoma Shootout in Durant, Okla.
Against Central Oklahoma, the Bronchos scored three runs on four hits in the fourth-inning to break a scoreless tie.
The Reddies managed just one hit off of pitcher Jessi Walker who had eight strikeouts.
Caroline Cullins had Henderson's lone base hit with a single in the fourth-inning.
In the second game of the day, Pittsburg State scored a run in the fifth-inning and an unearned run in the sixth to beat the Reddies.
Madison Calvert pitched well for Henderson allowing just three hits while striking out three batters. The Reddies, however, managed just two hits off PSU pitcher Emmie Robertson who struck out 12 Henderson batters.
Morgan South and
Jordan Griffith had the lone hits for Henderson.
Henderson will finish the tournament on Sunday with a pair games beginning with a contest with Emporia State at 10 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. game against Missouri Southern.
