A late rally by Henderson State fell short as Southeastern Oklahoma beat the Reddies 3-2 to complete a four game sweep in GAC softball action Saturday in Durant, Okla.
The Savage Storm, 16-6 overall and 12-0 in the GAC won Saturday's first game 5-2 as SOSU scored four unearned runs in the fourth-inning to beat the Reddies.
Henderson, 9-13 and 2-10, led 2-1 after
Jordan Griffith hit a double to lead off the inning with
Morgan South following with a two-run homer.
SOSU answered in the bottom of the inning scoring all four runs with two outs.
In the finale, SOSU led 3-0 after six innings before the Reddies began to rally.
Keirsten Seahorn would double to left field with South lacing a two-out double to centerfield to score Seahorn. South scored on an Olivia Tripp single down the left field line.
Ashleigh Erb provided HSU's fourth hit of the inning with a single.
Lakin Wolever would then fly out to deep right field to end the game.
Henderson State will next play host to East Central Oklahoma next Friday at Dee White Field with the double-header set to begin at 4 p.m.
