Henderson State returns to the court on Thursday as the Reddies play host to Southern Arkansas with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. at the Duke Wells Center.

The Reddies have won six straight games for the first time since the 2012-13 season. The last time Henderson won seven straight was during the 2006-07 campaign when the Reddies won nine straight.
           
Henderson has a 10-2 record overall and a 5-1 mark in league play. The Reddies will play five games in the next 10 days beginning Thursday.          

The Reddie offense continues to produce points averaging 87.3 points per game while shooting a league-best 50.6 percent from the field. Henderson has also done the job at the foul line shooting 75.4 percent (181-of-240), tops in the GAC.
 
Henderson will have to control the inside game against the Muleriders. The Reddies have dominated inside play this year averaging 43.8 points per game while the opponents are scoring 32.7 points underneath.
The Reddies have outscored opponents in the paint in 9 of 12 games and have scored 50 or more points inside the key four times.

Kaylon Tappin is coming off a season-best performance against Northwestern Oklahoma where he tied his career-high with 32 points. Tappin averages 17.4 points per game and is shooting 81 percent from the foul line.
             
Kevin Kozan scored 11 points last time out and averages 11.1 points per game and is shooting 45 percent from beyond the arc.
           
Chris Hawkins saw limited action against NWOSU, but is still second on the team in scoring averaging 13.3 points per contest while shooting a league-best 68.9 percent from the field.
           
Southern Arkansas enters the contest with a 6-6 record and a 4-2 mark in GAC play.

The Muleriders average 71.8 points per contest. SAU has one of the top defensive teams in the league, limiting opponents to 68.1 points per game.    

CJ Elkins leads SAU averaging 18.1 points per game which ranks fifth in the GAC. The sophomore from Minden, La. also leads the team in assists with 29. Elkins scored a career-high 29 points against Oklahoma Baptist.

Snyder Cenecharles follows scoring 11.2 points per contest. Ceneshcharles is shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc hitting on 19-of-46 attempts.      

Denarious Lockhart is one of the top rebounders in the league averaging 8.9 boards which ranks second in the GAC. Lockhart averages 7.7 points per game. The junior from Roberta, Ga, totaled 25 points and 13 rebounds a year ago against Henderson, including having 17 points and 9 boards in an 85-61 victory over the Reddies in Arkadelphia.                   

Henderson State leads the all-time series with a 102-71 advantage.           
The Muleriders won both meetings last year and have won three of the last four contests.                    
Admission for all-GAC double-headers is $5 for adults and $4 for students. Henderson State students are admitted free with their student ID.
 
Thursday's double-header will be carried on 106.9 FM KYXK Arkadelphia/Gurdon with Robbie Aaron providing the play-by-play. Former Reddie player and coach Grady Bean will provide the color commentary.
 
The Domino's pregame show will air 5:15 p.m. with the women's game set for 5:30 p.m.
