The Henderson State softball team lost a pair of games on Saturday as the Reddies lost to Missouri Western 4-0 and Rogers State 9-0 at the Ronnie Hawkins Classic in Arkadelphia.
The Reddies, 2-2 on the season, totaled six on the afternoon and committed seven errors.
In the first game against Missouri Western, the Griffins broke a scoreless tie in the sixth-inning scoring three runs with the help of two Reddie errors.
The Reddies had their chance to respond in the bottom of the inning as Henderson loaded the base with no outs.
However, MWSU pitcher Barbara Billiingsley worked out of the jam retiring the Reddies out on three infield fly balls.
Henderson had three hits in the game with
Selena Mendoza,
Lakin Wolever and
Alexis Morton all having singles.
In the finale, Rogers State scored in four straight innings including a 4-run sixth to secure the win.
Morton,
Keirsten Seahorn and
Olivia Trapp were responsible for Henderson hits in the contest.
Henderson State will travel to Bentonville next Friday and Saturday to participate in Arkansas-Monticello Challenge.
