Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 Henderson State came up short in a pair of games at the UAM D2 Softball Challenge in Bentonville, Ark. as the Reddies lost to Missouri Western 7-4 and Northwest Missouri 1-0.

In the first game, Henderson built a 3-0 lead over Missouri Western with the Reddies scoring a run in the opening frame on a run scoring single by Keirsten Seahorn.

Seahorn drove in her second run of the game in the third-inning with a single to plate Bethany Allen who doubled to begin the inning.

Olivia Trapp singled in the fourth-inning and scored on a stolen base to put Henderson on top 3-0.

Missouri Western, however, exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the fourth as the Griffons put together seven hits including three extra-base hits.

The Reddies added a run in the sixth as Trapp picked up her second hit of the game and scored on a Michelle Sorensen single.    

Seahorn led Henderson's offense in the game going 3-for-4 at the plate.

In the final game of the tournament, Henderson left seven runners on base as Northwest Missouri beat the Reddies 1-0.

Northwest Missouri broke a scoreless tie as Chantel Adams hit a one-out solo home run in the seventh-inning for the game winner for the Bearcats.

Michelle Sorensen struck out eight batters in the game with the junior from Sherwood allowing just three hits in the loss.

The Reddies totaled seven hits in the game with Courtney Warren going 2-for-3 with a double, with Seahorn also going 2-for-3 with an extra-base hit.

Henderson returns to Bentonville next weekend to play in the 8 States Classic beginning on Friday with a 9 a.m. contest against Fort Hays State.
