Southeastern Oklahoma used a five run fourth-inning to beat Henderson State 7-1 on Sunday in Durant, Okla. to claim the three-game series.
Henderson State, 16-8 overall and 10-5 in the Great American Conference, compiled 10 hits but could not get the timely hit as the Reddies left 10 runners on base.
Southeastern, 5-16-1 and 4-9, took the early 2-0 lead in the third-inning using a two-run double by Hunter Harrison.
The Reddies would score their lone run in the top of the fourth as
Hayden Lessenberry and
Parker Jones had back-to-back singles to score
Alan Hall who walked to lead off the inning.
The Storm then erupted for five runs in the bottom half of the inning to chase Reddie starting pitcher
Chris Hunt.
The big hits of the frame included a two-run double by Cade Clay followed by a two-run homer by Harrison.
Hayden Grimes picked up his second win of the year after getting the start and tossing 6.1 innings and allowing a run on six hits with five strikeouts.
HSU's Hunt pitched 3.2 innings giving up seven runs on nine hits to fall to 5-2 on the year.
Lessenberry and Jones had two hits each to lead the Reddies.
Henderson will next travel to Cleveland, Miss. on Tuesday for a double-header against Delta State with the first pitch set for 3 p.m.
