Henderson State picked up a pair of wins at the Emporia State Classic as the Reddies beat Central Missouri 8-0 and Emporia State 6-2, Saturday in Emporia, Kansas.
In the first game against Central Missouri,
Madie Green and
Kaitlyn Felder each belted two-run homers to lead the Reddies.
Green was 2-for-4 in the game with four runs batted in, while Ballarin and
Lindsey Williams had two hits each.
Felder also picked up the win in the circle.
The Reddies, 6-3 on the year, totaled 11 hits in the win against Emporia State with
Kailey Reese, Williams and
Olivia Trapp having two hits each to lead the way.
Ballarin hit a solo home run in the fourth-inning, while Trapp belted a two-run blast in the sixth frame.
Courtney Warren and Green both had doubles with Green driving in a run in the process.
Sydney Bonner went the distance in the circle to pick up the win for the Reddies.
Henderson State will conclude the two-day event on Sunday when the Reddies take on Pittsburg State at 9 a.m. and then face Missouri Southern at 1 p.m.
