SET ONE
Things did not start the way the Reddies imagined, as OKBU sprinted out to a 10-3 lead in the early going. Henderson took the next four points to close the gap to 10-7, but that would be as close as the set would get, as the Lady Bison responded with a 10-4 run to extend their lead to 20-11. The Reddies got a kill from Bolf and two from Hartmann to trim the deficit down to 23-16, but back-to-back OKBU kills gave them the opening set, 25-16. HSU hurt itself in the frame with seven attack errors and four serve-receive errors.
SET TWO
The second set was a battle all the way through, as neither team could open up a lead of more than two points on the other for the majority of the frame. With the score tied 17-17, it was Henderson who finally put a big run together. Five Lady Bison errors, along with kills from Bolf and Ondruskova, helped the Reddies string together a 7-1 spurt and seize a 24-18 advantage. OKBU got a point back, but the timely run proved to be the difference, as a Lady Bison set error gave Henderson a 25-19 win and tied the match 1-1.
SET THREE
OKBU got out to an early 6-3 lead in the pivotal third set, but the Reddies responded quickly and used a 12-4 run to grab a 15-10 advantage. The Lady Bison, who trailed by as many as seven at one point in the set, made things interesting late when they closed the gap down to just 24-22, but Greene made sure they would come no closer, as she got the winning kill to help Henderson take it 25-22 and jump in front in the match 2-1.
SET FOUR
The final set was all Henderson from the get-go, as the Reddies sprinted out to a commanding 14-6 lead in the first 20 points. Although they tried, the Lady Bison had no answer to the hot start from Henderson and never threatened again. A thunderous kill from Bolf fittingly ended it in the Reddies' favor 25-18 and gave them the 3-1 match win.
