ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – In the first match inside the Wells Natatorium of the
Scotty Serio era, both Red Wave programs defeated their respective counterparts from Oklahoma Christian. The men won, 137-124, while the women edged out a victory, 131-121.

Patryk Dabrowski saw the first win of the evening for the Red Wave men, touching the wall first in the 200 freestyle at 1:45.77. Dabrowski was also a part of the 400 free relay team that took first on the night with a time of 3:09.46, as teammates
Oscar Patten,
Jason Seiner and
Lamar Taylor made up the group.

In addition to Dabrowski occupying the top spot in the 200 free,
Tate Sloan and
Ty Gibbs came in at second (1:48.41) and third (1:49.70), respectively. Henderson also swept the podium in the 100 butterfly with
Stephen Jones seeing one of his two wins of the night at 50.59 followed by
Jase Pinckney (51.34) and
James Graham (53.92).

The second event victory of the night for Jones came in the 100 backstroke as him and Taylor finished one and two, respectively, touching the wall at 50.99 and 52.08. Taylor did top the podium in the 50 free with an explosive time of 21.55.

Pinckney rounded out the winners for the Red Wave men on the night, claiming the top spot in the 200 butterfly with a finish time of 2:01.51, edging out Oklahoma Christian's Andrew Ehler by .8 tenths of a second.

Freshman
Kiara Pozvai was the big winner for the Red Wave women as she claimed three individual victories on the evening. The 19 year old took home top honors in the 200 free by a whopping three whole seconds (1:56.65) before touching the wall first in the 50 free (24.31) and the 100 free (53.06) as well.

Fellow freshman
Jaynie Ferguson and
Charlotte Langdon also claimed their first collegiate victories in their Wells Natatorium debuts, as Ferguson took first in the 200 butterfly (2:21.73) while Langdon finished atop the pack in the 100 butterfly (1:00.42).

Emma Jorgensen, a transfer from Oklahoma Baptist, saw victory in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:39.72 while
Aimee Miller and
Jessica Bongfeldt putting the finishing touches on the Red Wave victory, taking first in the 200 IM (2:14.77) and 100 backstroke (1:08.85), respectively.

The Red Wave will return to the Wells Natatorium when Incarnate Word comes to Arkadelphia Thursday, Oct. 14. The meet is set to start at 5 p.m.
