ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State treated the first home crowd of the season to a 41 point victory Wednesday night, defeating the Christian Brothers Lady Buccaneers, 86-45. The Reddies shot 44.9% from the field while holding CBU to 26.7%.

Five Henderson players scored in double digits, with
Ashley Farrar and
Karrington Whaley matching for a game-high 16 points. Whaley also added 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.

Tamia Templeton and
Jadah Pickens each had 12 points and
Gracie Raby had 11 to round out the double-digit scorers for HSU. Raby also contributed seven rebounds and four assists.
Lani Snowden made all but one of her five field goals to sit just under double-digits at nine points.

Henderson outrebounded Christian Brothers 53-37 as it saw 23 second-chance points compared to the Lady Bucs' nine. The Reddies forced CBU into 27 turnovers as they won the points-off-turnovers battle, 25-6.

Henderson St. led the entire game, winning each quarter by double digits except for the fourth when the game was already decided. A Templeton layup with two seconds remaining in the first extended HSU's lead to 11, marking the last time the scoring margin would be single digits.

The Reddies found themselves up by 21 at half, 41-20. Farrar and Templeton did most of their damage in the first 20 minutes, scoring 11 and 10 of their total 16 and 12 points, respectively. The first half efficiency was on the side of the home team, with HSU shooting 40.5% compared to CBU's 27.6%.

It proved to be a complete game for HSU as it saw its biggest lead of the game with six minutes to go in regulation, holding a 79-38 lead. Henderson maintained the 41 point lead until the clock showed zeros, 86-45.

Henderson State (2-1) will play back-to-back road games coming up, first in Tyler, Texas, at the  University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. and then in Fort Smith, Arkansas, at Arkansas-Fort Smith Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
