TYLER, Texas – Both teams shot lights out on the afternoon, but Henderson State came away with the victory against the University of Texas-Tyler Patriots, 73-65. The win marks the second road victory of the season for HSU.

The Reddies shot 47.5% from the field while UTT connected at a 45.9% clip. From beyond the arc, HSU went 12-for-27 (44.4%), led by
Lani Snowden, who went 5-8, and
Jadah Pickens who connected on all three of her attempts. Snowden's five three-pointers were the most for her since Feb. 15, 2020.

Ashley Farrar scored a team-high 21 points with Snowden putting up 17 and Pickens going for 15. Snowden registered a career-high 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season.
Gracie Raby scored 10 points, marking the third consecutive game she has scored in double-figures – the longest such streak of her career.

In an eight point, the game was won by the Henderson State bench as it outscored Texas-Tyler's reserves, 20-2. In their three wins, the Reddies' bench is outscoring their opponents', 85-37.

The Patriots jumped out a 7-0 start before a three-pointer from
Maci Mains got Henderson going. Scoring was at a premium in the first period as a 6-2 run to close the first 10 minutes as the teams were tied, 11-11. Both teams more than doubled their scoring output from the first quarter in the second as halftime stood at a draw, 36-36.

Raby gave HSU its first lead of the game 25 seconds into the third quarter with a jumper off of one of
Sonni Martin's five assists. Texas-Tyler reclaimed the lead briefly at the 6:31 mark, 43-42, before a Martin layup put the Reddies back on top, 44-43. Henderson took the lead into the final quarter, 51-49.

Henderson saw its second most points of any quarter in the final frame, outscoring the Patriots in the last 10 minutes, 22-16. With UTT using a layup to pull within two at 58-56, HSU went on a quick 9-1 spurt to give the Reddies their biggest lead of the game, 67-57. Teams traded points the rest of the way as HSU left Tyler, Texas, 73-65.

Henderson St. (3-1) will return to the Natural State, albeit staying on the road, when it takes on the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
