ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Following a big road win on Thursday, Henderson State looks to start a winning streak on Saturday when it faces Southern Arkansas for the third time this season at 4 p.m. in the Duke Wells Center.

REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson won its third game of the year over Arkansas Tech on Thursday, 61-53. The Reddies opened the game on a 14-0 run and then went on a 14-1 run in the last 10 minutes to secure the road victory. HSU held the Wonder Boys to 32% shooting from the field in the game and ATU was just 2-of-18 from beyond the arc in the second half.

- The Reddies now rank fifth in the GAC in both scoring offense (73.6 points per game) and scoring defense (71.3 points allowed). HSU has surged up the league rankings in field goal percentage defense and now sits third in the conference (41.1%). Henderson is second in the GAC in rebounds per game (39.2) and rebounding margin (+5.2).

- Raekwon Rogers is Top-10 in the conference individually in rebounding (9.0 per game), field goal percentage (57.3%) and blocked shots (1.0 per game). The senior from Little Rock is the GAC leader in offensive rebounds per game (3.3) and has 30 total in nine games this season.

- Malik Riddle had his most efficient game of the year on Thursday in the win over ATU. Riddle scored 16 points on just seven shots from the floor and was 6-of-6 at the free throw line. The junior from Holly Springs, Mississippi has scored in double figures in eight of Henderson's nine games this season and leads the team in scoring (15.2 points per game). Riddle is 10th in the GAC in scoring and 13th in rebounding (6.4 per game).

- HSU's first two matchups with Southern Arkansas this season were both tight contests. The Reddies lost to SAU 83-77 at home in the 2021 opener for both teams, then fell 68-66 in Magnolia in a game Henderson had a chance to win at the buzzer. HSU is looking to avoid its first three-game losing streak to the Muleriders since 2017-18.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
- The Muleriders come into the Duke Wells Center on Saturday 7-2 overall and 6-2 in GAC play. SAU overtook Arkansas-Monticello as the Eastern Division leader on Thursday night with a 68-57 win over Ouachita Baptist at home. Southern Arkansas has played OBU three times this season.

- Guard Aaron Lucas has been on a tear recently for the Muleriders. After scoring 20 in the last meeting with Henderson and earning GAC Player of the Week honors, Lucas has scored 17 or more in his last three games, including a 26-point performance against UAM. He is shooting 46.5% from the floor and 44.6% from 3-point range this year.

- After locking down opponents from beyond the arc to start the year, SAU has been bitten by hot shooting from the outside in recent games. In its last three contests, SAU's opposition is shooting 42.1% from 3-point territory (24-of-57). The Muleriders held opponents to 27.4% shooting from deep (39-of-142) in their first six games.
