ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State heads to the state of Oklahoma for the first time this season when it faces No. 2 seed Southern Nazarene at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the GAC Tournament quarterfinals.

REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson got its 2021 GAC Tournament run off on the right foot Monday night when it dispatched Harding for the third time this season, 96-76 in Arkadelphia. HSU shot 51% from the floor and led by 20 at the half before cruising to a comfortable win. The Reddies have now won four-straight GAC Tournament games dating back to 2020.

- Five different players scored in double figures in the win over the Bisons. Xavier Davenport, Malik Riddle and Damian Dear all had 14 points, while Yuri Swinford and Jeremiah Toney each had 12. Quawn Marshall added nine points and nine assists.

- The Reddies had two players earn All-GAC recognition on Tuesday. Forward Raekwon Rogers earned the second All-GAC award of his career when he was named to the 2021 First Team and Riddle, a combo guard, was named to the Second Team in his first season on campus at HSU. The two All-GAC selections have combined to average over 26 points and 13 rebounds per game this year for Henderson.

- HSU has won the rebounding battle in eight-straight games coming into Wednesday night's contest. The Reddies led the GAC in rebounding margin (+6.3) and were second in rebounds per game (38.2) during the regular season. On the flip side, Henderson has won the turnover battle just five times in 18 games this season, but did so on Monday night. HSU's +10 turnover margin against Harding was its best of the year.

- Wins in the Sawyer Center against SNU have been difficult to come by for Henderson in recent times. The Reddies' last win in Bethany, Oklahoma came on Jan. 18, 2015. SNU has won seven of the last eight meetings between the teams overall. The Crimson Storm were 52-5 on their home floor between 2016 and 2020, but are just 4-5 at home this season.

SCOUTING SNU
- Southern Nazarene enters Wednesday night's quarterfinal matchup 11-7 on the year and in GAC play. The Crimson Storm won five of their last six games to end the regular season. Three of SNU's seven losses this year came at the hands of No. 1 seed Oklahoma Baptist and its last loss to someone other than OKBU came on Feb. 4.

- SNU is led by GAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-GAC selection Adokiye Iyaye, who averages 17.2 points per game this season. Iyaye has scored in double figures in every game but one this season for the Storm. Southern Nazarene also looks to Honorable Mention All-GAC pick Manny Dixon, who averages 14.3 points on 44.4% shooting.

- The Crimson Storm ended the regular season last in the GAC in scoring offense (64.9) but first in scoring defense (62.5) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (30.0%). SNU is third in the conference in field goal percentage defense (41.5%) and turnover margin (+1.72), but last in assists per game (10.7).
