LIVE COVERAGE LINKS | GAME NOTES

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The top defensive team and the top offensive team in the GAC meet on Saturday in Arkadelphia when Henderson State hosts Southeastern Oklahoma at 3 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson State won the lowest scoring game in GAC history on Saturday at UAM, 48-45. It was the first win for the Reddies in Monticello since 2015 and the fewest points HSU had scored in a victory since it beat Missouri-Rolla 46-45 in 2004. The win improved the Reddies to 6-3 in conference play and into sole possession of third place in the league standings.

- Defense continues to be the story for the Reddies this season. Against GAC opponents, Henderson is second in the league in both scoring defense (63.9) and field goal percentage defense (41.5%). HSU leads the conference in steals (9.9 per game) and turnover margin (+3.67). The Reddies have forced 163 turnovers in GAC play (18.1 per game) — over 40 more than the next-closest team (Ouachita, 121).

- Through 15 games, HSU has still not had a player lead the team in scoring in back-to-back contests this season. Yuri Swinford and Tomislav Miholjcic became the seventh and eighth different players to lead the Reddies in scoring in a game last week in wins over Ouachita and UAM. Swinford had a career-best 20 against the Tigers while Miholjcic scored a career-high 13 on the road at UAM. A different player has led HSU in scoring in each of the last six games.

- The Reddies' have not faced Southeastern Oklahoma since defeating the Savage Storm 76-73 in the GAC Tournament semifinals in 2020. Henderson has had the upper-hand in the series in recent years and has won six of the last nine meetings overall. HSU is 8-1 against Southeastern in Arkadelphia since 2012.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA
- Southeastern Oklahoma State enters Saturday's contest 12-3 overall and 7-2 in GAC play. The Savage Storm's longest win streak of the season was nine games and their three losses have come by a combined six points. SOSU is 5-1 on the road this year.

- SOSU is one of the top scoring teams in the country. In GAC contests, SOSU leads the league in scoring offense (85.3 per game), scoring margin (+12.44), field goal percentage (48.3%), 3-point field goal percentage (42.7%), and assists (17.2). The Savage Storm have made 111 3-pointers in conference play — 32 more than the next-closest team.

- The Savage Storm have five players averaging double figures in scoring, most notably veteran point guard Adam Dworsky, who averages 16.3 points and a GAC-best 7.4 assists per game. Fellow guard Jett Sternberger is the team's leading scorer (19.3 per game) and broke the conference record for points in a game with 55 earlier this year.
