Henderson State (8-17, 2-11) returns to the Duke Wells Center after spending the last few weeks on the road. The Reddies will face Harding University on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

SET ONE
The two sides went point-for-point to open the set, and neither side was able to find any real advantage. There would be eleven ties before the Golden Suns found some breathing up 14-11. ATU continued to hold a slim lead over the Reddies, but a pair of kills and a service ace from Hatt tied the set at 19-19.

Henderson would eventually take the lead, but Arkansas Tech did not give up. With a 22-20 lead, the Reddies fought off a late comeback by the Golden Suns to win the opening set 25-23.

 SET TWO
HSU took an early 3-1 lead, but ATU responded with a three-point run to take its first lead of the set, 4-3. Similar to the first set, not much separated the two sides. At 8-8, the Henderson attack scored in a flurry to take the lead, 15-10. The Golden Suns fought back with a handful of attacks to tie the set at 19 all. Still deadlocked, the two sides found themselves tied 23-23, but a late pair of kills by ATU would give them the set, 25-23.

SET THREE
The Reddies raced out to a 7-0 lead before the Golden Suns could score their first points of the set. HSU kept on the front foot, expanding its lead to 12-5 and eventually going up 21-16. Arkansas Tech climbed back into the set to tie the frame 23-23 and would again tie the set at 25-25 after going down. The Golden Suns would see a second victory after a closely contested set, winning 28-26.

SET FOUR
There was little separation between the two sides to start the fourth set, with both teams tied 8-8. A four-point run by HSU would give the team some breathing room for the first time in this set, up 12-8. However, the Golden Suns responded with a flurry of attacks to take the lead, 14-12 and would continue to build on it, going up 18-12. In control, Arkansas Tech would win the set 25-16.
