ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State extends its win streak to three games with a 67-57 win over the University of Texas at Tyler.

Ashley Farrar's hot streak of scoring continues as the senior now has four games in a row with 20 points. The Green Forest, Ark. native finished the game with 22 points, four rebounds and a block.
Sonni Martin and
Abbie Jiles round out the Reddies' offense with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Martin was the team's main creator with four assists while also leading the team with nine rebounds.

Henderson shot 41% from the field and 43% from the three-point line while going 16-18 from the free-throw line. The team finished with 12 points off turnovers and nine points from the bench.

UT Tyler got the game going with a three-pointer, but the Reddies responded with one of their own, courtesy of Farrar. The two sides went back and forth, but both teams could not find the basket. UT Tyler broke the drought with a trey and followed up the basket with a layup to end the period, leading 14-10.

The second frame began with three triples, two from Farrar and one from the Patriots. UT Tyler, leading 20-18 with 4:29 left in the second period, would not score another point in the frame. The Reddies would go on an 11-0 run and outscore the Patriots 16-3 to end the period. The defense only gave up six points in the quarter.

Henderson kept up the scoring at the start of the third frame, scoring 10 points before UT Tyler could register its first points of the period. HSU did not allow the Patriots' offense to get into any rhythm this frame. The Reddies outscored UT Tyler 25-11 while shooting 71% from the field and 66% from beyond the arc in the third period.

The Patriots, down 20 points to start the final ten minutes, slowly began to chip away at the deficit. UT Tyler had its best period of the game with 26 points and held Henderson to just 13. The Patriots brought the game within eight points with under a minute to go in the game. Texas at Tyler began to foul, hoping to get a rebound on a missed free throw, but the Reddies went 8-8 from the charity line to close out the game.

Henderson (3-2, 0-0) will travel to Denton, Texas to face Texas Woman's University on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m.Â
