CLEVELAND, Miss. – After the second day of the DSU Christmas Invitational, the women are in third place with 574.5 points, while the men are in third with 633 points.

The women's 200 free relay team placed first in the competition and qualified for Nationals. The women's team of
Kiara Pozvai,
Isabelle Andrews,
Madalyn Hall and
Mackenzie Kester finished the race with a time of 1:33.91. Pozvai led off for the relay team and set a school record in the 50 free with a time of 22.62, which is also the third-fastest time in the country. The previous school record in the 50 yard free was 23.12, set in 2009.

In the 200 yard IM,
Emma Jorgensen and
Bianca Santiago both finished in the top three, putting up impressive times. Jorgensen placed first in the race with a time of 2:07.17, while Santiago finished third, touching the wall at 2:07.54. Pozvai claimed first place in the individual 50 yard free, finishing the race at 22.78.

The men's 200 yard relay team of
Jack Armstrong,
Patryk Dabrowski,
Jase Pinckney and
Tim Holt touched the wall at 1:21.37 to place third in the race. Armstrong finished second in the 50 yard free, touching the wall at 20.24, while Dabrowski placed sixth in the 500 yard free with a time of 4:38.49.

Lamar Taylor posted the fastest time in the country in the 50 yard free during the prelims. The Freeport, Bahamas native touched the wall at 19.24, beating his previous record time of 19.58, which was also the school record. Taylor is now headed to Australia to take part in the World Championships.

Jevonn Cobin and
Logan Wetterling placed seventh and eighth, respectively, in the men's three-meter diving competition. Cobin finished with a score of 312.75, while Wetterling scored 301.15 points.
