CLEVELAND, Miss. – After the final day of competition, the women finished fourth with 1397.5 points, and the men placed third with 1456.

Both the women's and men's 400 yard free relay teams placed second. The women's team of
Mackenzie Kester,
Ryann Grasser,
Isabelle Andrews and
Kiara Pozvai touched the wall at 3:27.01. For the men,
Jack Armstrong,
Patryk Dabrowski,
Oscar Patten and
Jase Pinckney finished with a time of 2:58.26 and qualified for Nationals.

Pozvai continues to set records for the Red Wave after finishing first in the 100 yard free with a time of 49.05. The sophomore broke the previous school record time of 49.99, which was set by Pozvai earlier this year. Armstrong placed third in the men's 100 yard free, touching the wall at 44.08.

Both Grasser and
Gabriel Vidal Simoes recorded a sixth-place finish in the 200 yard backstroke with times of 2:09.43 and 1:56.52, respectively. Jason Tippett logged a time of 2:04.96 and
Madalyn Hall touched the wall at 2:13.52 to finish seventh in the 200 yard back.

Jessica Bongfeldt placed fifth in the 200 yard breast after touching the wall at 2:26.35, and Andrews finished sixth in the 200 yard fly with a time of 2:10.10. For the men, Pinckney finished the 200 fly in eighth after touching the wall at 2:00.19.

Scott Doll and
Triston Little took part in the men's 1650 yard free and placed fifth and seventh, respectively. Doll touched the wall at 16:27.17, and Little finished with a time of 16:40.56.

In the men's one-meter diving competition,
Jevonn Cobin placed seventh with 337.5 points, while
Logan Wetterling finished eighth with 324.45 points.

The Red Wave finished their last meet of 2022 and will return to action at the start of the new year when they travel to Little Rock, Ark. to compete at the University of Little Rock Arkansas.
