ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State will be well represented on the national stage as Colin Candebat, Avery Henke, and Emma Crowe have officially qualified for the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships.
The trio secured their spots with standout performances in their signature events, continuing a season that has already been one of the most successful in recent program history.
Sophomore Colin Candebat earned his nationals berth in the 200 Individual Medley after posting a time of 1:46.74. Candebat has been a consistent force for the Reddies all season, showcasing versatility across all four strokes.
Junior Avery Henke punched his ticket in the 100 Breaststroke with a 54.09, continuing his dominance in the event. Henke has been a cornerstone of Henderson State's success throughout the year, combining power and efficiency in the water.
On the women's side, sophomore Emma Crowe secured her place at nationals in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 54.81. Crowe has emerged as one of the team's most reliable performers, delivering in high-pressure moments and consistently competing at an elite level. Her qualification marks a significant milestone in her sophomore season.
The three qualifiers now turn their focus to preparing for the NCAA Championships, where they will compete against the nation's best. Their selections reflect not only individual excellence, but also the continued growth and competitiveness of the Henderson State swimming program.
