Another kill by Uzoh and Denton gave the Reddies their largest edge of the set, 19-10, and stayed ahead after another kill by Luke extended the advantage to 22-15. Ouachita Baptist cut the lead to three on a 4-0 run, but Uzoh closed the door on a late rally with a kill to win the first set 25-21.

SET TWO
Henderson State found itself in a hole to start the second frame as Ouachita Baptist flew ahead to an 8-1 lead before extending it to 15-4, forcing HSU to use its first timeout. Out of the break, two blocks by the Reddies and a pair of OUA attack errors cut the Tigers edge down to 16-8.

HSU continued to slowly chip away at Ouachita Baptist's lead through a service ace by Kaylon Partain and two blocks by Denton before a 6-1 run saw the Reddies get within two, 23-21. Kills by Hatt and Carson Edwards brought HSU within a point of OUA, but the Tigers found the final point of the set to win 25-23.
