ARKADELPHIA- Ark. – Henderson State falls to Christian Brothers 12-0 on opening day at Dee White Field. The Reddies put eight balls into play but could not register a baserunner on those hits.

Henderson St. (0-1, 0-0) resumes action on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. against Missouri Southern and 4:30 p.m. versus Northeastern State.
Savannah Carrigan got the start in the circle for Henderson but would only last the 0.2 of the first inning. The Lady Bucs had the hot bat in the top of the first, scoring four runs before Carrigan was relieved by
Sophie Weaver. Weaver would give up two more runs to Christians Brothers before HSU got the third out.

The Lady Bucs continued to swing the bats well in the top of the second adding three more runs to their advantage, 9-0. Henderson would strand a runner on second base in the bottom of the second after
Abbie Moore was hit by a pitch.
Josie Golden came in to pitch run for Moore and would steal first to second. Â

The Reddies would get a lead-off walk in the bottom of the third and would get their second walk of the frame from
Justine Burch. Henderson would leave runners at first and second after three consecutive outs, trailing 12-0.

Katelyn McMahan entered the game at the top of the fourth and stuck out two batters and got a ground out to first base. The North Little Rock, Ark. native would give up zero hits and runs in the final two innings as the Redides fell to the Lady Bucks 12-0.
