ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State Athletics has announced a new attraction for fans this fall at home football games — the Anheuser-Busch Touchdown Tent, which will offer spectators 21 years of age and older the opportunity to purchase beer inside the stadium for the first time.
The Touchdown Tent, sponsored by Arkansas Beverage Sales of Hot Springs, will be set up behind the end zone on the north end of Carpenter-Haygood Stadium in front of the scoreboard and will feature a fenced-in beer garden where all fans 21 years of age and older with presentation of a valid ID can come down from the stands, purchase alcohol, and enjoy the game from a new vantage point.
Six different types of beer will be available for purchase. Premium beers, which include 16 oz. Budweisers, Bud Lights, and Michelob Ultras, as well as 12 oz. Lost 40 Rockhound IPAs and Tigers Blood Seltzers, are $7.25. Standard beer, which is a 16 oz. Busch Light, is $5.50. Bottled water will also be for sale and can be purchased for $2. The bar will open 30 minutes prior to kickoff and will stay open through the end of the third quarter.Â
Fans will receive a wristband upon entry and will be required to stay inside the confines of the fenced-in area with their alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted outside of the Touchdown Tent.Â
Beer will not be sold at the concession stands and will only be available to the public at the Touchdown Tent. The beer garden area is open to all fans and there is no membership or fee required to access the Touchdown Tent.Â
For Reddie Club donors, beer and wine will still be available for purchase inside the donor room, where a Reddie Club pass is required for entry.Â
