MEET RESULTS
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - In the final meet at Wells Natatorium for 10 swimmers, the Henderson State Red Wave men got a win over Ouachita Baptist, 102-27, while the women were edged by six points, 68.5-60.5.
For the women,
Isabelle Andrews and
Emma Jorgensen opened the night with a win as part of the 200 medley relay quartet as the Red Wave group touched first at 1:51.22. Senior
Jack Armstrong and
Jase Pinckney on the men's side also helped HSU to a win with a finishing time of 1:34.34.
Mackenzie Kester claimed a second-place finish as an individual in the 100 IM (1:01.31) before Armstrong claimed his first individual win of the evening in the same event (49.91). Following Armstrong was fellow senior
Jaren Tippett in second with a time of 53.97.
Andrews echoed Kester with a second-place individual finish in the 50 fly at 26.35 - three hundredths of a second behind first place. Pinckney (22.23) and
Patryk Dabrowski (22.34) followed by going one-two in the 50 fly while
Cade Rivers earned a 10th place finish (28.61).
Reese Graham placed seventh in the 50 breaststroke (29.57) to finish off his career at Wells Natatorium before Dabrowski claimed his individual win of the night in the 50 free (21.50). In the same event,
Luis Guerrero-Del Toro recorded a sixth-place finish (23.15)
To finish off the night, Andrews and Kester got one final win inside Wells Natatorium as the duo helped HSU take first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.26. On the men's side, Armstrong, Pinckney and Dabrowski closed out the night with a win with a 1:24.36 in the 200 free relay.Â
Henderson State will not stray far from Wells for its next meet when it heads across the street to take on Ouachita Baptist in their pool Friday, Jan. 19.
