FINAL RESULTS
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - In the final regular season meet for Henderson State, the Red Wave fell to Ouachita Baptist in Waggoner Pool across the street. The loss snaps the men's 24-meet winning streak over OUA.Â
The men opened the meet winning the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:23.42 for the early lead. Having not lost a race all season, Red Wave fans will see the men's 400 medley quartet again at this year's NCAA Division II National Championships.Â
Following that in the longest event of the evening, true freshman
Colton Bennett, who just got onto campus at the beginning of this semester, placed second in the 1000 yard freestyle after touching at 9:48.23 in what was his first competitive collegiate swim.
Keeping on the women's side,
Kiara Pozvai took top honors for the ladies in the 200 free (1:59.07) followed by
Mackenzie Kester in the 100 free (54.48).
Raven Roberts posted an individual win in the 50 free (25.06) to help the Red Wave women sweep the mid-distance and sprint freestyle events.
With the regular season complete, Henderson State will turn its attention to the NSISC Championships in Cleveland, Miss. Feb. 20-24.
