RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Henderson State senior Felisa Sajulga has been named the latest recipient of the GAC Women's Golfer of the Week Award.
The College Station, Texas, native earned the award after shooting one-under 215 across three rounds at the Battle for the Belt in Hot Springs earlier this week. Sajulga's performance earned her second place in the event's individual standings and helped the Reddies claim their first tournament win as a team this fall. It was her second top two finish of the season, with her first being an individual victory at the Central Region Fall Preview in Blue Springs, Missouri, in September.
This is Sajulga's second weekly GAC honor and the team's fourth overall for the 2024-25 season. Thus far, Sajulga and teammate Lily Nelson are the only GAC golfers who have won the award multiple times during the current campaign.
Following the Battle for the Belt, HSU will take a four-month break from tournament play before resuming its schedule in the spring of 2025. The Reddies' next event is the Southern Invite in Spring, Texas, which begins on Monday, February 17.
