RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.  -  The Great American Conference has tabbed Andrew Edwards as its Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

The Henderson State quarterback earned his latest weekly honor by posting 311 yards of total offense and four touchdowns in a 42-7 Homecoming victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday. He went 26-of-33 passing for 232 yards and four scores. On the ground, the Bentonville, Arkansas, native added 79 yards on eight carries, including a career-long rush of 54 yards.

Edwards has now thrown for over 200 yards and zero interceptions in each of his last four games. The redshirt junior has thrown 14 consecutive touchdowns without an interception. He currently paces the GAC in completions (154), completion percentage (66.7), passing yards (1,856), and passing touchdowns (19). Amongst players who have played at least seven games this season, Edwards also boasts the conference's top quarterback efficiency rating (157.0).

Up next, the Reddies and their defending GAC Offensive Player of the Week will make the long trip to Northwestern Oklahoma State for their final road test of the 2024 conference slate. Kickoff against the Rangers is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, at Ranger Field in Alva, Oklahoma.
