RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.  -  Two Reddies have received weekly honors from the Great American Conference following Henderson State's 52-7 victory over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday. Quarterback Andrew Edwards received the conference's Offensive Player of the Week of the Award, while kick returner and wide receiver Jody Easter claimed the league's Special Teams Player of the Week Award.

Edwards secured his second Offensive Player of the Week selection this year by completing 15 of his 21 passes for 242 yards and a career-high six touchdowns. He also led the Reddies' ground game with 73 yards on just seven attempts. The Bentonville, Arkansas, native currently paces the Great American Conference in pass completion percentage (63.4), passing yards (1,105), and passing touchdowns (11). This is Edwards' eighth career weekly award from the Great American Conference.

Easter took home weekly honors for the first time in his career after returning last week's opening kickoff for a 93-yard score. The former McGehee Owl became the first Reddie player to return a kick for a touchdown since Cameron Thomas did so against Northwestern Oklahoma State on October 28, 2023. At wide receiver, Easter also hauled in a 24-yard reception on HSU's first drive of the second half.

Edwards, Easter, and their Henderson teammates will hit the road this week to take on Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma. Kickoff against the Crimson Storm is slated for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12.
