EDMOND, Okla.  -  Henderson State's women's golf team took third place at the Grace Shin Regional Preview after improving on their first-round score by nine strokes in Tuesday's final round.

The Reddies shot six-over 286 as team during the last day of the tournament, which tied them for the best single-round score by any team during the entire event. HSU finished third overall with a score of 21-over 581.

Central Missouri held firm in first place to win the tournament with a score of 13-over 573. Harding came in second at 15-over 575. Northwest Missouri State's Paige Hoffman and Harding's Pilar Martinez tied for the top individual score in the field at two-under 138.

Lily Nelson once again completed 18 holes in 70 strokes to finish at par 140 for the event. The junior's final score put her in a tie for fifth place in the event's solo standings. Cloe Poizac shot one-over 71 on Tuesday in her best individual round up to this point in the season. Paulina Narvaez finish under five-over for the second day in a row to claim a top 35 spot. Madolyn Kost and Felisa Sajulga both finished with scores of ten-over or better for the tournament.

HSU will hit the greens for the final time this fall when they host Battle for the Belt at Hot Springs Country Club. The tournament is set to tee off on Sunday, October 13.
