2024 D2CCA ALL-AMERICA SELECTIONSÂ
WICHITA FALLS, TEXASÂ -Â Henderson State tight end Cayden Davis has been selected as a D2CCA Second Team All-American. He is the first tight end in school history to receive All-America honors.
Davis, a native of Caddo Mills, Texas, led all Great American Conference pass catchers with six receiving touchdowns in 2024. His 19.5 yards per catch average was the highest among GAC players with at least 20 receptions during the regular season. The redshirt junior also finished eighth in the league with 430 receiving yards.
With Davis' D2CCA selection, the Reddies have now had an offensive player selected in each of the last five seasons played. Other players contributing to that streak include offensive lineman Robert Dunham (2023), wide receiver Xavier Malone (2022), and wide receiver L'liot Curry (2021 and 2019).
Earlier this month, Davis was named to D2CCA's All-Region First Team for Super Region 3. The Texan also earned First Team All-GAC recognition for a second consecutive year.
