BETHANY, Okla.  -  Henderson State traveled to Southern Nazarene for a battle between two of the GAC's top five teams on Thursday. SNU successfully defended its home court by a score of 63-41.

The Crimson Storm, who led the GAC with 54 points allowed per conference game entering Thursday's bout, effectively limited a Reddie offense that averaged 71.6 points per game in its first eight conference contests.

Natalie Cardenas (14 points) and Brynlee Huggins (10 points) both reached double digits in the loss. Cardenas recorded a season-high eight rebounds.

Bobbi Bazzle paced the team with nine boards.

Sam Basson finished the night with both three assists and three steals.

HSU will look to close its weekend road trip on a winning note at Oklahoma Baptist. Tip-off at the Noble Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18.
