RED WAVE RESULTS VS. OUACHITA BAPTIST: JANUARY 24, 2025
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. Â - Â Henderson State closed out the regular season by making a short trip across the street for a dual meet at Ouachita Baptist. The Red Wave fell to the hosting Tigersharks on both the men's and women's sides.
HSU's men found themselves on the wrong end of a 143-94 final score, while the women were defeated in a 160-67 result.
Henderson swept the men's relay events, beginning with a victory from the team of
Jean Ducastel,
Oskar Cebula,
Colin Candebat, and
Patryk Dabrowski in the 400 Yard Medley Relay (3:23.66). Later in the night,
Vitor Sa,
Tate Sloan,
Oliver Pozvai, and Dabrowski won the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:05.79.
Dabrowski picked up an individual victory in the 50 Yard Freestyle by finishing the event in 21.07 seconds. Nojus Skiritus took first in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:52.81.
Zach Ponder claimed the men's team's final individual win of the meet in the 500 Yard Freestyle (4:34.50).
The Red Wave women's
Kiara Pozvai topped the leaderboard in both the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:00.26) and the 50 Yard Freestyle (24.22 seconds).
Following Friday's dual meet, the Red Wave will have nearly a full month to rest up for the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships in Cleveland, Mississippi. Races will take place every day between the dates of February 18 and February 22 at the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatics Center.
