ARKADELPHIA, Ark.  -  Henderson State tight end Cayden Davis has been selected as a member of the D2Football Elite 100 Squad Team. The Caddo Mills, Texas, native was one of only three tight ends named among Division II's top 100 football athletes.

In 2024, Davis led the Great American Conference with six receiving touchdowns. His average of 19.5 yards per catch was the best among GAC players with at least 20 receptions during the regular season. The Texan also finished eighth on the conference leaderboard with 430 receiving yards for the year.

Davis is the first Reddie to be selected for the Elite 100 since wide receiver Xavier Malone in 2022.

Last month, Davis became the first tight end in school history to earn All-America honors when he received a Second Team nod from D2CCA. Before that, the redshirt junior was named a D2CCA All-Region First Team selection for Super Region 3. Davis was also recognized as a First Team All-GAC tight end for a second consecutive year.
