Box Score ADA, Okla. – Henderson went on the road to compete against East Central tonight, ultimately losing the match in a closely fought four sets, 3-1.
The Reddies fought well tonight, with
Katilyn Steffes leading the Reddies with 21 kills on the night.
Kelis Battles followed, recording 11 on the night.
Braxton Jones commanded the offense tonight for the Reddies, leading the team with 27 assists, while
Tyhia Mack and
Skylar Holler added eight. Defensively,
Kaylon Partain led the way for Henderson, collecting 27 digs, while Steffes ranked second with 12. At the net,
Cassidi Campbell and
Rylee Smith contributed 2.5 blocks each, while Battles tallied 1.5.
Match Recap
The first set got off to a difficult beginning for the Reddies, as the Tigers took an early lead and held it for the entire set. While the Reddies kept it close towards the end, East Central captured the first set 25-21.
The Tigers took an early lead in the second set. The Reddies rallied, but were unable to catch up, and lost set two 25-23.
In the third set, Henderson kept it close early and pulled ahead, holding the lead for most of the set. The Tigers kept it close, taking the lead at points, but the Reddies held them off and captured the third set 25-19.
In the final set, it was close to the very end. The Reddies fought hard, but couldn't capture the win, and lost the set and match 25-23.

The Reddies return home next week, hosting Oklahoma Baptist on October 23rd in the Duke Wells Center at 6:00 PM. They then host Southern Nazarene on October 24th at 4:00 PM.
