ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson faced off against the Bison from Oklahoma Baptist tonight, falling 3-1.
The Reddies were led on offense tonight by
Katilyn Steffes who captured another 20+ kill day with 22 kills.
Kelis Battles followed with nine kills on the night.
Braxton Jones collected 24 assists on the day to lead the team, and
Tyhia Mack added on 16 for the Reddies.
Kaylon Partain collected two service aces on the night, while also leading the team defensively with 26 digs. Steffes followed with 21 on the night. At the net,
Cassidi Campbell logged four blocks, while
Rylee Smith recorded three.
Match Recap
The first set started off rough for the Reddies as they fell behind 5-1, but eventually climbed back, evening the score at 11-11. They eventually won the set 25-22.
The Bison took an early lead 3-1 in the second set. While the Reddies were able to climb back, they eventually lost the second set 25-15.
In the third set, the Bison took a 7-2 lead and while the Reddies fought back, Oklahoma Baptist eventually won the set 25-16.
The final set started off with a 6-1 lead for OBU. While Henderson got the score to 8-7, they couldn't capture the lead, and dropped the set, losing the match 25-15.
