FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Reddie women slammed the door shut on Tuesday at the Hardscrabble Invitational to close out their second consecutive tournament win and their third tournament victory of the season overall.
Henderson did it in emphatic fashion, shooting a tournament low round of 17-over 297. Their final round capped off a 63-over 903, to bring home a 15-stroke win. Lily Nelson led the way for the Reddies, shooting a 1-over 71 in the final round, bringing her three round score to 12-over 222. The senior's score was good enough to see her finish in sole possession of third place individually.Â
In the final round the Reddies put away 7 birdies, with Paulina Narvaez contributing two and Nelson notching three of her own. Cloe Poizac closed out the tournament tied for eighth place and posted a third round score of 6-over 76.Â
The Reddies get a week off, but will look to keep swinging hot clubs on Monday, Apr. 7 when they head to Shangri-La Golf Club in Afton, Oklahoma for the Central Region Spring Preview tournament hosted by Central Missouri — the final tournament for Henderson State before the GAC Championships.Â
