ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Reddies battle #13 Harding Bisons at home in first two of GAC series.
Game one saw a pitchers dual at Dee White Field, as
Brooke Johnson gave up two earned and went five and two thirds striking out six Bisons batters.
Presley Applegate came in and closed the door in the sixth with the bases loaded to get out of the jam.
Not to be outdone by the pitching on the day,
Macy Hoskins bat caught fire, as she hit her first of two home runs on the day. Her two-run shot in the bottom of the fifth gave the Reddies a 3-2 lead late in game one. Hoskins has now hit a team high three home runs on the season.
Harding would go on to put up three runs in the top of the seventh to come from behind and sneak out a 5-3 win.
Game two was an offensive battle, until the 3rd where Harding plated five runners, capped off with a Zoey Neal three-run home run.
The Reddies battled back in the fourth inning as
Macy Hoskins hit her second two-run home run of the double header.
Neal would go on to replicate her efforts in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 8-3.
The Reddies recorded nine outs via the punch out on the evening, but ultimately dropped the second game 9-3.
