SEARCY, Ark. — Henderson State's offense only mustered two hits on Sunday, falling to Harding in the winner-take-all final game of the GAC Championship Series, 11-0. The Reddies finish the tournament as conference runners-up.
The Reddie offense only managed two hits on the day against Harding starter Preston Tabor. A sixth inning single from
Luke Farrar and a seventh inning base hit from
Jeremy Schork were the lone hits for Henderson on the day.
Reese Weaks (4-5) started the game on the mound; the senior only managed to last an inning on the mound and was credited with the loss.
After the game, three Reddies were honored as members of the All-Tournament team:
Luke Farrar,
Luke Rice, and
Payton Byrd were recognized as having three of the best seven individual performances over the two weeks of the tournament.
HSU now awaits their fate for the continuation of their postseason; the Reddies will find out Sunday night if they qualify for the NCAA Central sub-regional.
