Â
The 2025 class features three football players — All-American linebacker Maxie Graham, star defensive end Glennon Bobo, and AIC era linebacker Robert Hester. Joining them as honorees are All-AIC golfer Jay Brewer, MLB draft selection Chris Hunt, and GAC women's basketball standouts Hailey Estes and Jameisha "Pink" Jones.
Â
Receiving special recognition as a part of this year's Hall of Honor class are Steve Eddington, Chairman of the Arkansas State University System Board of Trustees, who is the recipient of the Willie Tate Meritorious Humanitarian Award, and former Henderson State Athletics Director Shawn Jones, who is receiving the Distinguished Service Award.
Â
In addition to the individual inductees, the 2015 Reddie baseball team will become the first baseball team in school history, and just the fifth team of any kind, to be inducted into the Hall of Honor. The 2015 baseball team's induction comes on the 10-year anniversary of their magical run to Cary, North Carolina, and the NCAA Division II College World Series.

Â
CHRIS HUNT (Category II: Other Men's Sports)
One of the best pitchers in Henderson State program history, Chris Hunt was a four-year standout for the Reddies from 2014 to 2017 and is the program's all-time leader in innings pitched with 314 to his credit. Hunt is the only Reddie pitcher with over 300 innings pitched in a career and is one off just six to ever pitch 100 or more innings in a single season, which he did in 2016 (101). He ranks second all-time at HSU in strikeouts (226) and is third in program history with 21 career wins on the mound. A member of the Reddies' 2015 College World Series team, Hunt led HSU that season with a 3.12 ERA in 89.1 innings pitched and started games for Henderson State in both the Central Regional and College World Series in Cary, North Carolina. Hunt threw the program's most-recent no-hitter in the 2016 GAC-Tournament against Southeastern Oklahoma State and was also the most recent Reddie baseball player to be selected in the MLB Draft when he was taken by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 39
th round in 2017. He played three seasons in the Cardinals organization, including stops with Johnson City in the Appalachian League and with Peoria in the Midwest League.

HAILEY ESTES (Category III: Women's Sports)
A four-year standout for the Reddies on the hardwood, Hailey Estes was a two-time All-GAC honoree in 2019 and 2020. A major weapon from long range, she ranks fifth all-time at HSU in career points (1430) and made 3-pointers (288). As a senior in 2020, Estes earned First Team All-GAC selection when she was the only NCAA DII player in the country in either men's or women's basketball to lead their league in both rebounds and 3-pointers made. An iron woman on the court for the Reddies, Estes started in 114 of the 116 games she competed in for Henderson State and played just under 34 minutes per game for her entire career.Â

Â
ROBERT HESTER (Category IV: Heritage Era)
One of the hardest hitters to ever suit up for the Reddies on the gridiron, Robert Hester was a three-time All-AIC honoree at linebacker from 1974 to 1977. Hester earned Honorable Mention All-AIC recognition in 1975 and was a First Team All-AIC selection in both 1976 and 1977. During his time in Arkadelphia, the Reddies saw great success, and boasted a record of 39-6 overall during his career. Hester was a member of three AIC championship teams in 1974, 1975, and 1977, and helped the Reddies win the Bicentennial Bowl at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock in 1975.
Â
SHAWN JONES (Distinguished Service)
One of the most influential figures in the history of Henderson State Athletics, Shawn Jones served as Athletics Director for the Reddies from 2014 to 2024 and led an era of unprecedented growth and success for the department. During his tenure as Athletics Director, Jones orchestrated over $10 million in facility upgrades, including the construction of two entirely new buildings — the Cabe Academic Success Center and the Ken Duke Golf Center — as well as upgraded turf at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium and the football practice field, the addition of lights and parking lots at both the baseball and softball facilities, full renovations of the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center and Wells Natatoriums, and major overhauls of the volleyball locker rooms at the Duke Wells Center.
Â
On the fields of play, the Reddies soared under Jones' leadership and captured 15 Great American Conference Championships, 23 NCAA Tournament appearances, and four Central Region titles. Six different sports won championships during his decade as the Athletics Director, including football, men's basketball, and baseball. Academic success also skyrocketed for Henderson during Jones' tenure as the Reddies reached a cumulative department-wide GPA of 3.0 in the spring of 2017 — a mark they have not dropped below in the eight years since.
After a decade of service to the Reddies, Jones accepted the position of Senior Deputy Athletics Director and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Southern Mississippi in December of 2023.
Â
STEVE EDDINGTON (Willie Tate Meritorious Humanitarian)
A die-hard, loyal Reddie, Steve Eddington has dedicated much of his life in service to Henderson State University. A 1984 alum, Steve was heavily involved on campus during his time as a student in Arkadelphia. He was an active member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, the cheer squad, The Oracle staff, and served in the sports information office as an assistant to the legendary Mike Dugan. After graduation, Steve took over Dugan's role of Sports Information Officer for the Reddies.
Â
Steve has further given his time to the university as both a member and president of the HSU Alumni Board of Directors and as the emcee of the Hall of Honor induction banquet since 2022. In 2021, he was appointed by then-governor Asa Hutchinson to serve on the Arkansas State University System Board of Trustees as a representative of Henderson State. Steve is now the Chairman of the Arkansas State University System Board — a role he has held since 2024. He remains visible at a variety of university and alumni events and continues to represent the Reddie Spirit with devotion at every opportunity.

2015 REDDIE BASEBALL TEAM
The 2015 Henderson State Reddie baseball team proved to be not only the most successful team to ever step onto the diamond at Clyde Berry Field, but one of the most enduring Cinderella stories in the history of the athletic department. Originally picked to finish ninth in the 2015 GAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Reddies flipped the script on doubters during a magical season that saw Henderson win 33 games, capture the program's first Central Region Championship, and dance well into the College World Series in Cary, North Carolina.
Â
Despite playing just 10 home contests on a field that lacked turf and lights, the Reddies earned the final at-large bid to the NCAA Central Regional in St. Cloud, Minnesota — the first NCAA postseason berth for the program in school history. HSU was not content just being in Minnesota, however, and knocked off Emporia State, Minnesota State, and the No. 1 team in the country, the hosts St. Cloud State with a record of 51-4, twice to advance to the 2015 College World Series. In Cary, North Carolina, Henderson's winning ways continued, as they defeated the No. 10 team in the country, Angelo State, twice before bowing out in the semifinal round to eventual national champion Tampa.
Â
Henderson State was the first GAC team to advance to the College World Series and remains to this day one of just two to reach the hallowed grounds of Cary, North Carolina. The 2015 team's magical season helped lay the groundwork for future success. The Reddies have since made three additional appearances in the NCAA Tournament and won the program's first GAC title in 2021. Four members of the 2015 Reddie baseball team have been inducted into the Hall of Honor as individuals.
