Corone Williams Named GAC Special Teams Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Henderson State fifth-year defensive lineman Corone Williams was named GAC Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Williams blocked what would have been a game-winning field goal by Arkansas Tech with seven seconds remaining in Saturday's 28-27 win. The Ocala, Florida native's jumping block deflected the ball, which was recovered by the Reddies, setting up a kneel-down to end the game.

The 18th-ranked Reddies will be back at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium and GeoSurfaces Field on Saturday, October 31st for senior day. HSU plays host to Southeastern Oklahoma State, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
