DURANT, Okla. - The Reddies (7-5, 1-2) finished the series with Southeastern today, falling in game three 4-1.
The Savage Storm took an early lead in the first inning, scoring one run to lead 1-0. The Reddies finally responded in the fourth inning, as
Jay Albiter hit a sacrifice fly to score
Josie Golden, who'd singled earlier in the inning.
Southeastern recovered the lead off a double in the fourth, leading 2-1. In the fifth inning, the Savage Storm once again increased their lead, scoring two runs off errors. Henderson State's offense couldn't come back and ultimately fell 4-1.
The Reddies scored one run off six hits, with Golden going 2-4, and Albiter going 1-1 with an RBI.
Presley Applegate allowed two runs on three hits, while
Jersey Cabana (2-3), took the loss in relief. Alyson Malone earned the win for Southeastern, pitching a complete game.
