SHAWNEE, Okla. - The Reddies (9-14, 3-7) began the away series against the #14-ranked Oklahoma Baptist Bison with a 9-0 loss after five innings.
The Reddies held Oklahoma Baptist scoreless through two innings, before the Bison took a 3-0 lead in the third inning. In the fourth inning, Henderson State got two runners on base after
Jay Albiter and
Josie Golden both singled. Unfortunately, the Reddies couldn't capitalize and remained scoreless.
In the sixth inning, Oklahoma Baptist surged, scoring six runs, and that ended the day for Henderson State, as they were shut out, and the Bison secured the 9-0 win after five innings.
The Reddies managed two hits on the night.
Presley Applegate (6-7) earned the start tonight, giving up nine runs on 11 hits, striking out four while walking two.
