ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Reddies (10-14, 3-9) defeated Ouachita Baptist in a mid-week non-conference clash, besting the Tigers 6-4. Both
Jersey Cabana and
Presley Applegate secured milestones in today's game. Cabana secured her 50th career win in Division 2 Softball, while Applegate earned her 12th career save, which puts her first all-time in Henderson State history.

Henderson State struck first in the opening inning, as
Penelope Foote singled, before stealing second.
Josie Copeland hit a fly out to advance Foote to third, and
Abby Brinkley singled to score Foote, giving the Reddies a 1-0 lead. In the second inning the Reddies kept putting up runs, as
Tatum Bittick hit a single, then stole both first and second, before scoring on a triple by
Macy Hoskins.
Hilary Akers hit a sacrifice fly to score Hoskins, and the Reddies led 3-0.
Ouachita struck back in the third and fourth innings, scoring four runs to take a narrow 4-3 lead, but in the bottom of the fourth, Henderson responded. A double by Bittick put one runner on base, before a flyout by
Mazzi Jones advanced Bittick to third. Hoskins and Akers both walked, before a pinch-hit single by
Sam Flores scored both Bittick and Hoskins, giving the Reddies a 5-4 lead.
Henderson State held the Tigers scoreless the rest of the game, before earning an insurance run in the sixth inning. Bittick hit another single and stole second, before stealing third for the second time tonight. Jones then hit a single to center to score the sixth run for the Reddies, and Henderson State would hold on to win 6-4.
The Reddies secured six runs on 11 hits tonight, with
Tatum Bittick going a perfect 3-3 with a double and four stolen bases, while
Sam Flores went 1-1 with two RBIs.
Abby Brinkley went 2-3 with an RBI, and
Macy Hoskins hit 1-2 with an RBI.
Jersey Cabana (6-7) earned the start tonight, pitching 5.2 innings, giving up four runs on eight hits, and recording four strikeouts to two walks.
Presley Applegate came in relief, pitching the final four outs to secure the win for Henderson State, giving up no hits, while striking out three and walking one.
